The art here was amazing to see. Very detailed with a QR code you could scan for a guided tour or you can read the panel on the wall next to the art that describes what you’re looking at and who the artist was. Free admission too.
Wonderful museum! The galleries looked stunning, so well put together. The exhibition In Our Eyes is a strong gathering of works on a timely topic, especially in Florida. The faculty and student exhibitions were a welcome surprise! I encourage you to visit, and it is always free admission.
Glad to have finally made it! I came on a Frifay but they were closed for an event and came back Saturday. Entrance is free and the art displays are set in the main hallway and 3 rooms next to the entrance.
The displays rotate during the year and it takes about 1 hr to cover it at a high level.
Parking is limited infront of the building but not hard to find a spot.
I will definitely be back and don't hesitate to check them out.
We took the kids to the museum for a family day event, and the kids loved the craft stations and browsing the art works inside. Out the back door was a scenic grassy area for the kids to run around and explore by the lake. The kids really enjoy visiting!
This is a very quaint, beautiful museum! It’s pretty small, but the exhibits they have are very quality - which is more important than quantity when it comes to art. Free admission for everyone, so I’d recommend this to anyone who is interested!
Free entry always. Very polite greeting from the receptionist giving newcomers an overview of the site so i could venture around. Security guard was also polite. Great variety of art styles, i stayed for 30mins, about 100 exhibits. I parked in a bay just over the street from the entrance. The museum is its own building amongst the Rollins Campus grounds. The museum entrance is by the only round-about in the road, so keep driving until you arrive at a round-about.
I got there about 30 minutes before close, but I was able to spend a good amount of time appreciating the art I especially wanted to see and had some good conversations with the staff. I am always impressed by the collections of this museum and how often they refresh and update the galleries/exhibitions here. And it is FREE.
In my opinion it is worth checking out if you're in the area. The Dinky Dock park nearby is small (as the name suggests), but has a good amount of shade and a lovely little free library if you wanted to partake in some more free diversions!
It's been a while since I was at this museum, but we were there last night and it was a wonderful experience. Love the art presentations. Follow them to stay updated for more art shows. Free admission is a plus and the staff is super friendly. Highly recommend for the art enthusiasts out there
